CW Segment on the 20th Annual Automobile Heritage Day (for Windows)
The 20th Annual National City Automobile Heritage Days will feature Porsche with a dazzling display of those cars from the very early models to the latest Super Cars now being produced. The August 7th show will draw well over 200 entrants competing for awards in categories that range from turn of the century production cars to Classics & Muscle Cars. Motorcycles will be shown in 6 separate classes. 
The annual 1st Sunday in August event will be held on the grass at Kimball Park, the 18 acre public facility located just off the National City Mile of Cars Boulevard. There is no charge for spectators to view the collector car vehicles that will be staged in selected groupings through out the expansive area. The entry fee for those displaying their cars and motorcycles will be $25 prior to July 15th, $35 after that date. Early entrants will receive a ticket entitling them to a catered lunch.
The days activities also include an 8:45 AM parade prior to the show, great food from some of National Cities popular eateries, a wide variety of live music performers and Specialty Business booths that add another element of entertaining for the attendees. The events conclude with a 3 PM drive by awards ceremony for the 1st place winners in the 22 classes, 2nd & 3rd place awards will also be presented.

This event begins with a parade and starts at 22nd & Cleveland in National City, west of the Interstate 5 at 8:45am. There is a breakfast served at 7am provided by Buster’s Beach House Marina Gateway. The show takes place in Kimball Park on East 12th Street and “D” Ave., behind City Hall. Our 2011 lunch sponsor, South Bay Fish & Grill, provides a barbecue plate for spectators and participants, which is served by Mayor Morrison and City Council.
There is a variety of music provided by DJ Shy and the spectacular band – Bobby Sanchez Combo. Neiderfrank’s Ice Cream, National City’s first ice cream shop, is always on hand to satisfy your sweet tooth. 
An impressive display of classics makes this event unique. Car show winners will be selected through a competitive ranking system by experienced car judges. Trophies will be awarded for each vehicle class. Awards include “Best of Show,” “People’s Choice,” “Mitch Guarano Memorial Award,” “Class Trophies,” “Best Unrestored”, and “Winner’s Circle.”
