In an effort to free up a large portion of our operating expense and entrust to economic development, the Chamber of Commerce Foundation has committed to retiring the debt on the Chamber building. The City of National City has already committed $70,000 in matching funds! Our goal is to raise an additional $70,000 by September 2009.

As such, we are organizing the 1st Annual Golf Tournament in Honor of Mayor Kile Morgan on August 31, 2009 at the beautiful Sycuan Singing Hills Golf Course.

All proceeds will go toward retiring our building debt and enhanced programming. Kile was an epic civic leader, former Mayor and active citizen of National City, and instrumental in the Chamber’s development. Kile served on the Chamber Foundation’s Building Committee which was successful in constructing our beautiful facility, serving as a Visitor’s Information Center and gathering place for governmental, workforce, economic, and community affairs.
