SUMMARY:Golf Tournament Planning Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This is a planning meeting for the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament to be hosted by the National City Chamber of Commerce.  Kile Morgan\, a five-term National City mayor instrumental in developing the Mile of Cars and national City Chamber of Commerce\, passed away in April 2009. He was 89 years old. Kile Morgan was influential in the Chamber's Development. He served on the Chamber Foundations Building Committee which was successful in constructing the Chamber's for which it now serves as a Visitor's Information Center and gathering place for governmental workforce\, economic\, and community affairs. Mr. Morgan was an unwavering leader of community development and served on the City Council from 1960 - 66\, then as mayor for 20 years. After retiring from public life in 1986\, he continued to volunteer his time with community groups and organizations\, including the Chamber of Commerce and Boys & Girls Club of National City. With Mayor Morgan'z help\, the Chamber Foundation raised over $650\,000 dollars to build the new Chamber of Commerce facility. His legacy continues today.
