DESCRIPTION:The Make a Wish Foundation is holding it's Annual Tuna Challenge 2010 here in San Diego on September 10th-12th! Tickets are $10 each or 12 for $100. 100% of net proceeds go to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego\, Inc. \n \nThe Tuna Challenge's humble beginnings date back to 1991 when it began as an intra-club tuna tournament. The Kona Kai Anglers created the tournament to bring friendly competition to the revived Anglers organization. Eventually\,  the tournament became an invitational event with fishing clubs from all over San Diego participating. In 1994\, the Kona Kai Anglers decided that they wanted to donate the proceeds of the tournament to a charitable organization and the Make-A-Wish Foundation was chosen to be the beneficiary. \n \nThis event is presented by the San Diego Credit Union and will include great raffle prizes: \n \n          1st Prize: Defiance Admiral NT Pilot House valued at over $57\,000\n          2nd Prize: 52" Sony TV and Blu Ray Disc Player valued at $2\,500\n          3rd Prize: 4 Night Stay\, 3 Day Alaskan Trip for 2 \n \nThe Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope\, strength\, and joy. It is the largest wish-granting charity in the world\, with 77 chapters in the United States and its territories and 27 international affiliates on five continents. With the help of generous donors and more than 25\,000 volunteers\, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted more than 110\,000 wishes to children around the world since 1980.\n Captain's MeetingFriday\, September 10\, 2010 - 6PMOne team member must be present at this meeting. Team captain's may begin picking up captain's bags and goody bags starting at 4PM while the tournament entry registration proceeds. At 4:30PM there will be hamburgers\, hotdog's\, and an open bar (no host) followed by the mandatory Captain's Meeting at 6PM covering rules and fishing information.
