The Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate's (BMC) BMC Dialogue Series highlights important topics facing women in real estate. For the past two years, this conference has focused on unconscious bias in the workplace and strategies for empowerment, both of which focused greatly on diversity and inclusion. This year's event, BMC Dialogue Series: Path to the C-Suite, will go a further step and discuss the implementation of these ideas. Our keynote, Gayle Starr, is the former managing director of capital markets at Prologis, and is currently a special consultant to the company on diversity initiatives. She is also a consultant for Bridge33 and is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Starr will highlight an action plan for promoting women into the c-suite, which is based on a successful toolkit. Starr will share her personal experiences from her time at Prologis where the company had implemented these ideas into its business plan. Following Starr, a panel including: Ann Bruce '02, partner at Cruzan; Natalie Dahl '01, managing director at CBRE; and Emma Epes, partner at EY, will discuss their individual journeys to the c-suite. Rita Brandin, senior vice president and development director at Newland Communities, will moderate the panel discussion.
