2020 Chamber Committees
Joining a committee fully involves you and your company in the Chamber’s activities and events. Committee membership helps you network and keep in touch with others who care about business development. Make a difference and help shape National City’s economic and community development initiatives.
All Committee meetings are held at the National City Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, 901 National City Blvd., National City, CA 91950.
Ambassador Committee
The Ambassador Committee is responsible for building and sustaining a strong, pro-active membership organization, providing financial assets to support programs and initiatives necessary to ensure the Chamber continues to be a leading advocate for businesses. This committee works collaboratively with the City of National City and other community partners to foster a healthy business environment by marketing the Chamber of Commerce services, and promoting members and community assets.
Meets First Wednesdays (11:30am-1pm)
Members: Luis Alcala, Ashley Gonzalez, Sandra Bredeson, Kevin Nash, Ruth Ryan-Cruz, and Alma Daneshi.
Business Referral Group (BRG)
The National City Chamber Business Rendezvous Groups (also known as “BRG”) directly contribute to the economic development of theNational City area by increasing the business and profits of Chamber Member businesses and organizations through structured, relational networking and the exchange ofreferrals and leads.

Economic Development Committee
The Economic Development Committee of the National City Chamber of Commerce focuses on promoting economic development in National City through the development and implementation of projects, programs, and policies that stimulate economic growth and prosperity, enhance community development initiatives, leading to improved quality of life. This committee is the legislative and regulatory advocate for businesses at the local, state, and federal levels. The Committee reviews legislation, supports pro-business policies and actively represents Chamber members.

Economic Vitality Work Group (Live Well San Diego Initiative)
The Economic Vitality Work Group is made up of members of the Live Well San Diego South Region Leadership Team who are diverse community partners. The purpose of the Economic Vitality Work Group is to discuss community economic needs, priorities, and community level data as well as potential goals and improvement projects that would contribute to economic vitality in San Diego South Region.
Meets First Thursdays (10am-11am)
Executive Committee
The National City Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee maintains oversight of the Chamber’s finances, execution of Chamber Policies, member services, products and programs, and oversees the performance of the chief executive officer.
Meets Second Fridays (9am-11am)

Special Event Committees
The Special Event Committees of the National City Chamber of Commerce are tasked with organizing the Chamber’s annual events including:
- Annual Installation and Awards Dinner, Chaired by Angelica Carrillo, Cox Communications
- Mariachi Festival & Competition, Chaired by Victor Gonzalez and Carlos Solorio
- Golf Tournament, Chaired by: Dave Nagy, Pasha Group
- Salute to Navy, Chaired by Eliana Tate, Navy Federal
- Bayside Brew & Spirit Festival Chaired by: Carlos Solorio
- Job Fair Chaired by: Christine Perri, Southwestern College
Binational Sustainability Conference
The committee has formed from local businesses and institutions from both sides of the border to address binational aspects related to sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, and environmental issues between San Diego and Tijuana.
