         What exactly is Long Term Care?

The phrase long term care is used to describe assistance with daily activities including getting dressed, eating, moving from place to place and using the bathroom. Long term care can take place in an assisted living facility, in a nursing home, or in the community through special programs.

Is Long Term Care Insurance valuable?

Long term care can be expensive. One year in a nursing home can cost more than $70,000. In some cases, it can easily cost twice that amount. Home care can cost even more. A year of round the clock care from a licensed nurse can cost more than $300,000.
