Joe's Pocket Farm: Rancho Fest!
Come cultivate, participate and celebrate!
Planting fruit trees, plants vegetables herbs and seeds!
We are providing this healthy activity and bringing National City back to it's Rancho heritage.
National City used to be called Rancho De La Nacion, which means the Nation's Ranch... isn't that cool?
This was ranch land, and we are here to replant those powerful roots that have not been forgotten.
We also are working to strengthen our connection with positve folks in San Diego.
Come down to the garden this Sunday, we will be building,cultivating, and celebrating.
We will be graced by music and performances thouought the celebration.
Congressman Bob Filner will aslo be there to speak as will other guest presenters.
Final Day April 1st -
Revitalization Celebration 9am -12 noon final planting watering and saging purification and blessing invocation by native elder doing ceremonial blessings.& Invocation
The Fest begins!
Noon until 4pm with food, and Music performances by special guests Olmeca Roots , Capoeira Angola , & Todo Mundo! Azariah & Sister Meeko & also Yoga , poerty by Sara Bella
Speacual Guest speaker Jim Bel & more!
Free out door activity
Families welcome
Attire: Comfortable clothing, closed toed shoes, hat, and sunscreen
