CNC Operator/Sign Fabricator (Metal&Acrylic)

Motivational Systems, Inc., a full-service supplier of interior and exterior environmental graphics (displays and signage), is currently looking to fill the position of CNC Operator/Metal and Acrylic Sign Fabricator in the Production area for its Consolidated Division located in National City, California. The position includes operating the CNC table and routing systems, sign fabrication, sanding and assembly of various custom signs and displays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Prepare and safely operate CNC table routing systems.
• Ability to load sheets of raw materials onto machines.
• Supervise machine and make necessary adjustments to insure best finished product results.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Produce various types of custom signage using material such as aluminum, acrylic, ACM, etc.
• Safely operate and maintain various shop machinery and power hand tools such as table saws, panel saws, drill press, routers, sanders, drills.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow shop drawings and designs.
• Clean, sand and prep product off the CNC router to move to the finishing department.
• Knowledge of cutting, drilling, sanding, adhering various metals and acrylics needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain our quality standards.
• Quality check product prior to it leaving the department.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• May be utilized in other departments as workload requires.

Qualifications 

• 2+ years’ experience operating CNC table routing systems.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, saws, routers, etc.
• Knowledge of metal products and fabrication methods.
• Strong ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates pride in their work and determination to finish the job. 
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
• Strong skills in organizing and working on several tasks concurrently, as well as in giving proper attention to details.
• Self-reliant with the ability to work comfortably in a team environment.
• Flexible and helpful attitude with the ability to help other departments as needed.
